A breath of fresh air, the view of beautiful scenery and rays of sunshine… All the perks of hiking! I went on a hike a few days ago and have rekindled my love with hiking. My whole journey lasted for about three hours and after a huge sweat, I felt like I have recharged myself while doing an intense whole body workout! Hiking is such a great exercise as you can workout your whole body and at the same time, tan and tone your arms and legs a bit. You can also choose suitable hiking trails according to your ability and one with amazing views 🙂
The view along the way, what a treat and motivation to get up to the top!
Our destination was the peak. The view on the peak is known to be stunning. This is one of my favorite sections as we were hiking to the peak. Under numerous tall trees, the radiant sunlight shines through, creating these beautiful shadows. Out in the nature is always the best way to relax your body and mind.
Another stunning picture in black and white! You can’t really take such pictures in the city with the abundant buildings blocking the sunshine, not to mention the amount of pollution, turning the sky grey. I especially like being outside when the weather’s like this. Trees and sunshine can never really go wrong in a picture. Even with someone like me, who is totally not skillful at photography, I’m still able to capture these photos.
Who doesn’t love some food along the way? We were gobbling away this bag of trail mix while we were hiking. We just mixed some unsalted walnuts, cashews, pistachios, dried cranberries, blueberries, raisins and m&ms. This is a guilt-free and yummy way to energize your body and help me get to the hill top! This trail mix is also great as a day to day snack as the different types of nuts and dried fruits are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which can benefit your body.
We’re almost there, this is the railway for the trams going to and from central and the peak. Too bad I couldn’t take a picture with the trains.
Whoa! Finally made it up there! It was a bit foggy, but standing up there, feeling the wind blowing towards you face, feeling like you’ve achieved something, just pumps you up. It was pretty windy up there, so after the long walk and the profound sweating, it feels really good to be up there.
It was such a great trip and a fantastic way to get your mind off your busy schedules! Even you are not a sport lover, do give hiking a try and maybe you’ll find your new favourite sport!?
